Film Brief Blog Post #1 - 10/14

For the project I'm going to do a film opening, and I'm most likely going to work on my own. It'll be a bit harder I suppose, especially since I have no idea how to edit at all, but overall I'd rather have complete creative control and it just seems more fun to do this project on my own. I've thought about what to do for the project, and while I still don't know at all and whatever I choose will almost definitely change a bunch, I've got some ideas in mind. One idea I had was that it would start with a business meeting, one character enters the office of another character and they discuss something, but character 1 gets angry and leaves. the shot goes from a fixed shot of the two characters to a tracking shot following character 1 as he walks out and character 2 follows him and tries to get him to agree to the business proposition. Then, as the characters enter another room, they both stop and stop talking completely. There would be something shocking in the room, I'm still not sure what it would be (I would say zombies but... that feels very hard to do, maybe with some zombie makeup it could look pretty good though?). I'll have to decide where to film, how to film it, who to include in my movie, and what the dialogue and music will be. I would like to film in my house though, and a horror film seems fun to do.
